It's Only Thursday!

I have done and seen so much, I can't believe I have only been here for five days! And guess what? The Americans are here...I can hear them...and so can everyone else in the restaurant. My biggest pet peeve when travelling is being mistaken for being from the U.S. "But you don't have a Canadian accent!" is what they tell me. Oh, you just wait...I can get my 'out and about' going in no time! I am Canadian! Proud of it!!! Rant over. Haha!

Today started with another amazing sunrise while I enjoyed breakfast as a leisurely pace, as my excursion for today was not until the afternoon. I was able to walk around town. Confession...I was looking for souvenir hoodies...can't find them anywhere! What is a girl to do? I also decided to go to the bank once again, to ensure that I have enough cash for the remainder of my trip.

Today's adventure was wet! And not because of any rain in the forecast, but because today I went white water rafting! I used the company Alsur Expeditions (cost was about $40). It was soooo much fun. Our boat was made up of international travellers - Canada, Australia, Germany and Switzerland. There were four boats in total on our tour with about 5 or 6 people in each boat as we floated down the Petrohue River. Snacks and hot drinks were made available at the end of the rafting. The water was quite warm but we were outfitted with wetsuits anyway - so all good!

Such a fun experience I would do it again in a second. Highly recommend!
